JAMES DON SUMMERS
Services for James Don Summers , 58, of Longview will be 2 pm Friday at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with David Farmer officiating. Burial will be at the Union Chapel Cemetery in New Summerfield. Mr. Summers died Tuesday at a Tyler care center.
He was born January 22, 1950 in Jacksonville, Texas to James Amos and Lucille Gray Summers. A lifelong resident of Longview, he was a former employee of SWEPCO, the Longview National Bank, and was a history, government, and economics teacher with the Sabine I.S.D. Mr. Summers was a member of the Summerfield United Methodist Church and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki of Longview; a son and his wife, James David and Lauren Summers of Longview; grandchildren, Abby Elizabeth, James Blake, and Carley Claire Summers.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 pm Friday prior to the service at Rader's
