J.G. London
J.G. London of Longview, Texas went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2007. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 15th at 2:00 pm at Rosewood Mausoleum Chapel with Revs. Ben Clayton and Ken Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. Special music will be provided by his granddaughter, Dee Moore.
Mr. London was born in Fannin County, Texas on June 22, 1914. His wife of 67 years, Nadine Buie London and one grandson, Kevin L. Moore, and 10 brothers and 1 sister preceded him in death.
He was a football coach before coming to Longview High School as a long time educator of Chemistry and physics. He was a building contractor, rancher, realtor, and he loved to work on his farm. He also loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
During World War II, he served his country by working in Oakridge, Tennessee as a chemist on the development of a part which aided in the development of the atomic bomb.
He is survived by his loving children: Jack G. London and wife, Peggy; Vicki Ann Moore and husband, Ken; Kay Richardson and husband, Glenn; Grandsons: Kris Moore, Stacey Kirkindoll, Keith Bonds, Britt Bonds, and Scott Bonds and their wives; and 11 great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Dad?s special friend, Amy Harper for her friendship and love shown to Dad and our family. Visitation will be at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd. Wednesday evening 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
