I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Ashcroft's death. My mother was in Henderson Health and Rehab too. She passed away on Thursday, July 20. Mother was 94. She had really had a good life. What a blessing H.L. has been to my son and me. His support of the Boy Scouts through the Lions Club has touched the lives unnumbered boys and men. I first met H.L. when I became a member of the Longview Lions Club. I'll never forget his sincere dedication as a Lion and his genuine caring about the kids that attended the Lions Camp in Kerrville. H.L. will be greatly missed.##imported-begin##Neal Haschke##imported-end##
I really enjoyed getting to know H.L. as a new member of the Lion's Club. His dedication to the Texas Lion's Camp and especially to the hundreds of children from around Longview that attended during the time that he was the Camp Chairman and later Camp Director was an inspiraton to me.
