Henry and I shared many happpy adventures on the Cherokee Golf Course as well as on the Lake Board. He was a great friend.##imported-begin##Tommy Strong##imported-end##
Henry hired me as bookkeeper at Swift Food Service in the early 1970's and at times, it was painfully obvious that he had a strong military background and little patience for a young kid new in her job. It was at those times when I would simply go out to the "snack wagon" and buy him a twinkie and tell him to chew on that instead of me. That became the standard joke around the office and at times his desk was piled high! We loved him dearly and the twinkle in his eye and the smirk on his face will live forever in our hearts. I will never hear the Charlie Pride song "Kiss An Angel Good Morning" that I will not think of him. My prayers go out to the family at this time of loss.##imported-begin##Cathy Hankins##imported-end##
Dear Mildred, Buster, Brenda and Reagan,
Please know that your family is in my prayers for peace to comfort you. Henry will be remembered for so many things at Lake Cherokee. I will remember many things, but could never forget his picture with the huge turtle in the back of the pickup.
