Harold Unker's Obituary
Graveside services for Harold Unker, 85, of Longview, will be 3 PM Tuesday at Memory Park Cemetery with Rabbi Heidi Coretz officiating.  Interment will follow in Memory Park under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
Mr. Unker died Monday in a local hospital.
A native of New York City, New York, Harold was born March 19, 1919 and moved to Longview in 1941.  He was the owner/operator of the Harold Unker Insurance Agency in Longview for 35 years.  He most recently was associated with Gans and Smith Insurance Agency.  He was a member of Temple Emanu-El, Longview Masonic Lodge #404, Sharon Temple Shrine in Tyler and Scottish Rite Consistory in Dallas.  He served his country in the US Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Fanye Margulis Unker.
Harold is survived by his sister: Rosalyn Rothkerch of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Cousins:  Debbie Shelan and husband Evan of Longview, Sondra Hirsh of New York, Sylvia Sussman of Dallas, Charlotte Levin of Dal-las, Erin Shelan Skinner of Dallas and Stephanie Shelan of Boston; Nephews: Harold Rothkerch of New York City, NY and Evan Katz of New York City, NY.
The family request memorials to Temple Emanu-El or American Heart Association.
