Gus L. Brown's Obituary
Gus L. Brown, age 87 of the Chickenfeather Community, was born March 26, 1929 to William T. and Mary Katherine Brown in Chickenfeather, and died August 17, 2016 in Longview after battling Alzheimer’s disease for 22 years. A visitation will be held Friday August 19, from 6pm until 8pm at Rader Funeral Home in Henderson.
Mr. Brown was a native of Henderson, an Army Veteran, and retired from Eastman Kodak in Longview after of 30 years of service where he was a Division Shipping Manager. In his post retirement days he was a tree farmer. Gus was also a deacon in the Baptist Church, and a member of the Waco Scottish Rite.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Donald Ray Brown.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife Betty Brown of Longview, son Don Brown of Henderson, and daughter Robin Jacobs and husband Mike of Longview. Also surviving grandchildren, Jordan Brown of Dallas, Zach Brown of Longview, Chris Jacobs of Valley Glen, CA., Bryan Jacobs of Phoenix, AZ, Brandi Martinez of Austin, and nephew Richard Brown of Austin
