I heard about Harlan just today 12/28 and am so sorry. I met Barbara in the hospital room with me back in the 80's when we both had surgery. Your dad helped take care of me too as Barbara's roommate. Sherri and Beverly, I did not know about your dad until just before service time, but I thought about all the great time we had visiting at each other homes. So sorry about the loss of your dad, Sherri. Was in New York for holidays but was home on Sat. and did not know until I read the paper this pm. Your dad was a sweet man and I remember he and Ivan took basket weaving together at the Depot. Again, so sorry. I would have been at funeral had I known. Today you celebrated the life of your precious Daddy~What a beautiful service~As I sat on the pew my mind played a reel of memories that included both of your parents and of each of you~I know my life is sweeter and richer for having you apart of it.
As I drove away from the services I thought about my kids and I know they will ask me how today went. I can't wait to tell them...Today I celebrated the life Harland Barton and what a man to celebrate!
