I check the Longview obituaries on the internet from time to time and saw that Gilbert had died. I was crushed that I didn't find out in time to attend the funeral today.
My heartfelt prayers and sympathy are with you. He and your mother were like second parents to me, and I loved them both dearly...
I hope he'll drive the boat for me when I meet up with him someday.
