Gilbert D. Harris Sr's Obituary
Services for Gilbert D. Harris Sr., 79, of Longview will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral home at 2 pm, on Thursday with Rev. David Reeder Officiating. Mr. Harris passed into glory in the early hours of Sunday morning in the care of his loving wife, Connie Harris.
Gilbert was born on August 16, 1934, to Isaac and Pearl Harris in Alamogordo NM. In 1977, Mr. Harris started Harris Line Service in Lakeport which he sold in 2000 when he moved to Lake Cherokee. Mr. Harris loved all types of hunting and took multiple fishing trips in Alaska. He also very much enjoyed playing cards with friends.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his loving parents, Isaac and Pearl; 2 brothers, Ray and Lonnie; 2 sisters, Dorothy and Faye; and is ex-wife Dorothy Harris. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Connie Harris; Children, Donna Julian, Linda Glaze, and Gilbert Harris Jr.; Step-sons, Kevin and Randy Throckmorton; Grand Children, Jason W. Smith, Stacy Koons, and Jeremy Julian; and Great-Grand Children, Pheonix Smith, Marijn Koons, and Breckyn Julian.
