We just returned from being gone 10 days and picked up a 10 day old issue of the Plainview Daily Herald to read of the passing of Mrs. Waggoner that's what she'll always be to me, Mrs. Waggoner, as she was my first grade teacher at Ward Elemetary in Hale Center. She and Toby were good friends with my grandparents, Earl and Amy Laney also better known as Pa & Ma Laney,as well as my parents, W.G.& Frances. I didn't realize that Toby has passed so long ago. My condolences to the entire family.

Bob, Duke & families; My love to you, especially at this time. What wonderful memories of Waggoner's I have to cherish. Gertrude, Dad's "Gertie", throaty sweet voice, soft smile, easy walk, lover of children, even thru her mist. She put an arm around our oldest son as a little boy, with coffee in other hand, they walked the lake at Aunt Lynne's, she taught him to fish, gave comfort for that week - she just can't do any better than that! Thoughts and prayers are for and with all of Gertrude's family. I wish I could haveknown Gertrude when she was well. She was here in this Apt. bldg. when I moved here. THE LORD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS
ways & lots we do not understand like her Dtr being taken as she was. May God be with all the family,
