I was saddened to hear about Gerald's death. He and I were friends from elementary school days Stewart Elementary, jr. high Lowe and Minden High School.
I did not see Gerald much after high school, but I always appreciated his friendship. I think his family used to live out at theArmy Ammunition Plant where I would spend the night with Fussell family.
Please know you are all in my prayers!

Becky, Casey, Kelly, and Carrie,
There are two legacies a man can leave that will honor his memory. Each of you, are Gerald’s greatest legacy. I know he loved you all and was profoundly proud of each of you. This was evidenced by stories he was always quick to share about each of you.
The second legacy is the impact a person has on those whom he meets and spends time with and the memories those people carry for the rest of their lives. This legacy is evidenced in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to have known Gerald and spend time with him, both at work and on countless fishing trips and all the other crazy things we did together over the years. Gerald was a great friend to all of us during the years we spent with him. He was an encouragement to each of us. His humor was unique and genuine. He will be missed but more importantly he will always be with each of us in our memories of the wonderful times we spent together and the adventures we shared.##imported-begin##Keith Ballow##imported-end##
I was blessed to have Gerald as a neighbor, a work partner and most of all as a friend. He was always ready to help if someone needed a hand, always had a good story to tell and was a Godly and upright man. I am glad I got to spend some valuable time with him this Spring and I admired how he talked about his children and grandchildren. He was very proud of all of you. Becky you and your family will be in our prayers. He was a dear friend and will be deeply missed.##imported-begin##Allen & Jean Hejl##imported-end##
I am sorry I did not visit Gerald. Last year I found out he was living in Henderson and that is only about 70 miles away. We graduated together and our parents worked together. If I can ever do anything please call on me. Randy##imported-begin##Randy Rodgers##imported-end##

I will miss Gerald, I enjoyed his easy go lucky way of life. He loved a good laugh. Even the time he had Carrie ask me why they called me 'Pork Chop'. I will miss his laugh and encouragement. My prayers are with Becky and all the family.##imported-begin##Bobby Davis##imported-end##
Becky and family,
I will always remember Gerald as a friend that I had the greatest respect for. He was a mentor at work, a husband at home, the best father 3 daughters could wish for and always a man of faith. I am fortunate to have worked with him and be able to call him my friend. You and your family will be in my prayers.##imported-begin##Danny Keiner##imported-end##
