Mike,Sherry and Mark, it's difficult to understand the fearful loss and grief your family have been through in the last 13 months.
I've known your father since Portsmouth,Ohio in about 1938. Your grandfather Dewey got my father his nephew a job in the steel mill. George, Carolyn and Bob visited us in Okmulgee and even in Cactus, TX north of Dumas. I visited him several times ... nothing better than your father telling family stories. A typical Gold, he told great stories of the past. Your father and mother were by my side at the Good Shepard Hospital when my mother died in 1997.
I loved your folks very much ...

Dear Family
Some of my greatest memories are of skating in your rink - and then working for your folks my senior year 72, 73 - your Mom & Dad were always So Very Kind and Pleasant that I felt like I had the Greatest job a teen could have. Through the years since I have recounted the magnificent environment Your Folks provided for us all - they treated each of us like they loved us - and We All Loved Them
My Prayers are with each of you during your time of Loss - God Bless You All##imported-begin##Carter Tucker##imported-end##

Sherry,
I have such fond memories of your dad at the skating rink. That place was the catalyst for many budding romances! Deepest sympathy to you and your family.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your father. He your Mom, and Grandmother were always so wonderful to me at the rink. I spent everyday skating with them and taught Mark how to skate backwards. He will be missed greatly. Love Lesia##imported-begin##Lesia Clark Forsyth##imported-end##
I know it is sad to lose a parent even though they had a long, prosperous life. Their absence is still painful. There is hope that you will be happily reunited in Heaven.
From about 1961 to 1963 or so, my sisters- Cindy & Debbie, I, and our friends went skating almost every Friday night, it seems. I remember getting the little pins of a gold skatewith wings on it ?as a prize for winning the "Limbo" contest that was held toward the end of the evening. I'm sure my parents were glad that there was a safe environment where their daughters could come for wholesome fun and an outlet for us kids' energy. Mr. Gold's endeavors brought family fun and enjoyment of 'natural' exercise to many.
Sincerely, Mrs. Gwen MeadowsJones##imported-begin## Gwen Meadows Jones##imported-end##
