Garvin L. Murray was the Best Man I have ever met in My whole life.The Man was Intelligent and Cool never met anyone like Dad.Dad would give me words of Wisdom then he would put a Smile on My Face. Grandpa Garvin was gentle, kind, and had a wonderful sense of humor. We are so thankful he had an opportunity to meet Oscar. We will remember him fondly,

I will always remember our times together. I especially remember your making breakfast of pancakes and Jimmy Dean sausage when you and Daisy Mae came to visit. I remember staying with you over the summer when you had a special "birthday" for me so I wouldn't feel left out when it was actually my sister's birthday. When I hear Johnny Cash on the radio, I will think of you. You were always quick to smile and laugh. Thank you for all the memories. I never drink a glass of wine nor enjoy a NY steak without remembering my wonderful visits with you & Daisy over the years. When I read this poem, I knew it was written with you in mind; "God looked around his garden & found an empty space. He then looked down upon this earth & saw your tired face. My Sweetheart....No one can know how much I will miss you. I thank God for the wonderful 32 years we had together. February 4th was a very sad day for our family. We lost a caring, loving, whitty and wonderful friend & brother in law when Mr. "G" left this world to be with his Heavenly Father. Uncle Garvin was a kind and gentle man who was loved by all who knew him. His stories and sense of humor was a constant source of entertainment during our visits. He was lucky to have Aunt Daisy who took such wonderful care of him in his later years. Their love for each other was amazing!
