Frank Allen Hodges, Jr.'s Obituary
Frank Allen Hodges, Jr., 82, of Longview passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at a local hospital. He was born July 27, 1922 in El Dorado, Arkansas and lived in Longview since 1935.
He married Clara Jean Harris on October 24, 1942 and then he joined the United States Army Air Corp where he served from 1942 until 1945. He returned to Longview and became active in the timber business brokering pulpwood and cross ties. He was a member of First Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Clara Jean; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and Mel Tito of Dallas and Susan and Jack Post of Longview; grandchildren, Julie Post of Dallas and Katie Post of Austin.
Services will be 12 Noon Thursday at the First Christian Church with the Revs. Dewayne Beaty, Tim Watson and Jim Lewis officiating with burial following at Grace Hill Cemetery under direction of Rader Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the First Christian Church.
