Francis Boaze's Obituary
Francis Boaze was born in Marshall, TX on July 18, 1937 and passed away in Houston, TX on Friday, June 30, 2016 with his wife Mary by his side.
Francis grew up in Marshall, TX and graduated from Marshall High School where he was an avid baseball and basketball player. He married his wife Mary in 1973. He retired in 1990 from Longhorn Ammunition plant in Karnack, TX and started working in Alaska right after that, and did not retire from that job until 2015. He was a licensed electrician, he loved to hunt, fish and play golf, and he was a great poker player. But most importantly he was a great husband, father and grandfather.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Elbert and Elsie Granthom Boaze. His in-laws, Ernest Floyd and Ethel Phillips Hightower. His sister-in-law, Candy Lundy Boaze and his grandson, Landon Wayne Moore.
Francis is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Hightower Boaze of Gladewater, TX, his brother; Ernest Paul and his wife Joy Boaze of Mineola, Charles Boaze of Marshall and Alaska, Larry Boaze of Marshall and sister, Margie Boaze Johnson of Marshall. His children; Michelle Boaze of Marshall, Marcie and husband Tommy Henigan of Marshall, Tim and wife Lori Boaze of Kilgore, Lisa and husband Hermie Heim of Marshall, Leslie and husband Johnny Baker of Longview, Chuck Moore of Gladewater, Shelbi Crews, Courtland Crews, and Colbie Crews. Francis is also survived by his grandchildren; Billy Nutt III, Ashley Nutt Cross, Tommy Joe Henigan, Jr., Chris Henigan, Lindsay Henigan Riley, Taylor Boaze, Tyler Boaze Dunnier, Timothy Boaze, Tori Boaze, Casey Shields, Heather Shields, Chelsea Heim Ratcliff, Kason Hunter, Caitlan Moore Eaves, Collin Moore, Laikan Moore and Mackenzy Moore. He is also survived by 27 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and friends all over the world. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Graveside services for Francis will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 10 am at Rosewood Park in Longview. There will be a visitation the night before between 6 and 8 pm at Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
