Laura, my heartfelt sympathy to you and Michael on the loss of your mother. I will always remember your mother as a gracious, kind, loving, and sharing person.
My parents, John and Rose, have been neighbors with your mom for 30+ years. Throughout the years, your mom displayed what it meant to be a good neighbor. Your mother allowed my parents to plant a garden in her backyard and everyone benefited by sharing homegrown vegetables, especially tomatoes! In addition, your mom would call my dad each morning and he would come get the Longview News Journal after she had finished reading it.
When I was in middle school Ms. Richmond hired me to mow her lawn -- my first job! I would mow and rake her yard during the summer and fall.
My wife grew to love Ms. Richmond and would insist on visiting with her when we came to Longview. She loved talking Cowboys with your mom. After my son, Tyler, was born -- he loved our visits to see Ms. Richmond. She would enthral us with tales of her worldly travels.
Your mom will truly be missed by my family.
Love, Greg Reeves##imported-begin##Gregory Don Reeves##imported-end##
