Dear Tom and Amy:
My hearts go out to you this evening, knowing what is ahead of you tomorrow and the days to come. I meet Eva a little over 10 years ago and she has had a place in my heart ever since. When I first moved here she would tell stories of Brian growing up and share things about Loucille and Ms Able that made me laugh and wished I could have known them before they passed on.
I was able to spend sometime getting to know Eva and who she was and all about her family through her eyes. She always talked about David and Lane and loved the time she got to spend with them. She loved it when I would bring Kasey over so she could give her a cookie or two and candy when we left. And, she was also the only person I knew who loved to read cookbooks as if they were a novel.
I can't tell you how many times a day coming and going that I looked over at her house in these past 10 years, just checking on her, checking on her lights, see if the car was there or if she was gone. And in the past two weeks that hasn't stopped. I keep thinking I would see her looking out the kitchen window or have the door open looking out as I leave in the morning. We always seemed to be looking out for each other. And, I remember the first time we went out of town and forgot to call and tell her we were leaving. She let us know about it when we got back and I don't think we ever forgot to tell her again until about two months ago and she reminded us again. She spoke her mind and didn't mind telling you like it was most of the time. And because of that I can tell you she was not only a good neighbor, but a wonderful friend and a beloved family member of the Whitenack's.
We will miss her but she will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts, just as you are. A prayer that you and your family will find comfort knowing she was loved by many that came to truly knew her and that someday we will be with her again. Knowing her she's up there playing the organ or better yet playing cards with Ms Able and Loucille Whitenack.
We Love you and you are in our prayer.

Tom, You have our prayers during this great loss. We loved your Mom so much. She was truly a neat lady. We shared good times and bad times and the last few years some great recipes. We will miss her.

As Cherco coworker of Eva, I have many fond memories of her.
Your dear Mother touched many lives. I especially enjoyed her sense of humor. Many times over the years I've thought back to the times she's either told a funny story or remembered the different nicknames that she's given to me.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.##imported-begin##Tammy Kinney##imported-end##

As a member of the Cherco Family from 1970 to 1996 I will always remember Eva as a good and strong willed woman. She always seemed to know exactly what she wanted to say or do. She never hesitated to speak her mind or take the nessesary action to complete an objective. She was an exceptional lady who pocessesed a high level of competance in the workplace. Her sense of humor was always near the surface, even in the most hectic or trying circumstances. I offer my condolenences to her family as their loss is surely great.##imported-begin##Darrell Thompson##imported-end##

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Eva's family. I am so sorry. I saw that she was on our 5th floor ICU but I never talked to any of the family, in fact my last time to see her was the evening BEFORE her surgery. I am just so sorry. I knew her precious Mother and dearly loved her as I loved Eva. Again, I am so sorry. May you feel the warmth of His love and His caring for each of YOU is my prayer.##imported-begin##Milie Terry Harper##imported-end##
