Eloree Clamp's Obituary
Services for Eloree Clamp, 90, of Longview, will be 10 AM Friday, August 17, 2012, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview, with Reverend Scott Schulik, adult minister at Mobberly Baptist Church, officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday, August 16th, from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clamp passed away on Tuesday evening, August 14, 2012.
Eloree was born Nelwyn Eloree Webb on March 19, 1922 to Hugh Clinton and Mary Lucille Webb in Upshur County, Texas. In 1939 Eloree graduated from Longview High School, in 1941 from Kilgore College and from Bish Mathis Institute in 1942. She taught at Bish Mathis Institute until the mid 1960's. She was an active volunteer at Longview Regional Hospital in excess of 25 years until such time as her health no longer permitted. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Longview, from her youth until her moving to Mobberly Baptist Church in the early 1960's. She remained active in Mobberly Baptist Church until her health no longer permitted.
Eloree wed Robert Cohagen Clamp, son of Henry Grady and Madge Harlan Clamp of Judson, TX on April 7, 1946. Robert preceded her in death.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Robert Wayne Clamp and wife Terry Lynn, grandchildren; Corey Wayne Clamp and Adam Cohagen Clamp, and great grandchildren Colton Wayne Clamp and Audrey Jo Clamp.
