Eloise A. Herndon Hill
On Thursday April 11, 2013 Eloise A. Herndon our Mother & Grammy went to be with her Lord & savior.  We love her but realize she had a full life & served & honored God in all that she did.  Eloise will & always will be the example that God called us to be.  She gave to others so they could fulfill their goals & dreams in life. Eloise graduated from Longview High School in 1955.  She continued her education at Kilgore College receiving her AA and BS at East Texas State University and her MS at Stephen F. Austin. She was also a member of International Honor Sorority for Women Educators. Eloise taught at Hallsville elementary school for 35 yrs, 1966-2001. Many lives were touched thru her dedication to teaching. She enjoyed her relationships with other teachers and the administration.  Eloise was born in Shreveport L.A. on December 4, 1936 to Delry M. & Allie B Herndon. She married Onnie D. Johnson in November of 1959, & they had two daughters. Eloise married Johnny H. Hill in June of 1964 after the tragic loss of her first husband. She was a member of First Assembly Of God for over 65 years.  She was preceded in death by her Father, Mother, & her husband's Onnie D. Johnson & Johnny H. Hill.  The family will be receiving friends & loved ones for visitation Monday April 15, 2013 form 6pm to 8pm at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. The Funeral Services with be April 16, 2013@10AM, at Rader funeral chapel followed by grave side services at Rosewood Park.  Survivors are Daughters Kim &her husband Jonathan Bowers of Longview TX.  Kay & her husband Scott Gore of Troy Ohio. Grandchildren Jennifer & her husband Brad Smallwood of Longview Tx.  Janni Bowers of Longview, Tx.  Kalea Gore & Ryan Gore of Troy Ohio.  Great Grandchildren Wyatt Smallwood & Weston Smallwood of Longview Tx.  Brothers Billy Don & Nelda Herndon of Longview Tx, Bobby & Linda of Frankston TX, & Mike & Pattie of Tulsa OK  also many beloved nieces& nephews.
