I have great childhood memories of my grandfather. My grandfather would go fishing with me and my dad. My dad was Red's only child. My grandfather rarely got his hook in the water on these trips, because he was busy trying to bait my hook and untangle my line from reeds. I know that my grandmother, grandfather and dad are watching over my daughter and me.

I truly will miss a wonderful man who came into my life as a friend to my sister and our family. He was a loving friendly man whom we all loved. Friends & family members who missed the last few years of his life should know that many precious memories were shared and made with the many people who cared and helped provide for him. His entry to Heaven has left a hole in our hearts and a sadness in our lives, but knowing he is in a better place gives us peace. I love you Red and you were always my friend.

I had the honor of caring for this wonderful man while he was in an assisted living setting. He was kind, caring and very giving to all. He was liked by everyone. He loved to share stories of his past with anyone who would take the time to listen. May he rest in peace.

Remembering how Grandad liked to take me and my sister, Julie, to eat at Dairy Cream when we moved to Longview. He loved a good cheeseburger and some peach cobbler. I bet my Dad; his only son, Terry, and he are having a nice, long conversation about the last 17 years. I know my Grandmother is right there with them.
Many hours, I sat and listened to Reds stories of World War II, working for El Paso gas company laying lines from El Paso to state line of California. Hoboing trains with his friend Cornbread, and his love of playing Texas Holdem. Love you Red, Bobby
