Lucy and I would like to express our sympathy to Mr. Bill and the family of Edith. We stop by and talk with Mr. Bill sometimes, especially lately and have visited with Edith a few weeks ago. She indicated to me she was a Christian and wanted me to know that she was ready to meet our Lord. She loved her church family and let me know so many of them were praying for her.
Love in Christ,

Edie meant so much to all who were fortunate enough to come her way. she truly was a force unto herself. i was always so impressed by how tough that little lady actually was. she was so much the lady and yet as tough as they come in her battle against the disease that we have all come to hate so much. i loved her. i wish you all well and pray for the comfort during your time of loss.##imported-begin##charlotte elkins##imported-end##

Edie was our precious neighbor and we cherished her friendship for 10 years that we lived next to her and Bill. I'll always remember her cheerful smile and wave everytime she saw me. Rest in peace, precious soul.##imported-begin##Emma Wilson##imported-end##
I have very fond memories of Edith when I was growing up in Longview. She was my father's cousin and I always thought she was so beautiful. She was very sweet and never met a stranger. She and Bill were very devoted to one another. She will be missed,

Kay and I were saddened to hear of the loss of Edie. She was such a wonderful reflection of the love of Jesus Christ and we know she is in the presence of the Lord for now and evermore! What an inspiration she was to so many of us. I will always appreciate what her and Bill meant to my family and how much they did for my Mom after my Dad passed away. Please know it was a blessing in my life to have been a friend of Edie and you all will be in our prayers in the days ahead. With love in Jesus...Jim and Kay Neeley##imported-begin##Jimmy and Kay Neeley##imported-end##
