My dear son, it's been almost 9 years and still seems like yesterday. I still miss you every day and look for you in every face I see. Hearing the news of Eddie's passing hit me like a ton of bricks. Someone conveying their sorrow at the passing of one of my friends and I had yet to hear the news myself. I have soooo many fond memories of Eddie, you and the kids from rollar blading and cook-outs over on Dawn Circle. You and Eddie were there for me when when I needed you and I hope you know I am here if you need me now during this very difficult time. I will miss Eddie as I am sure everyone who's life he touch will too. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the kids.

I feel so blessed to have been Eddie's friend. He always had a smile for all. Eddie truly had a great impact on me. I will miss him.

A strange and wonderful thing happened to me today. Something unexplainable, so unforgettable, that I had to discover why, and whose funeral service caused my feelings.
Just past two on Friday afternoon, I was struck by the full parking lot and types of vehicles all around the facility. I knew this funeral, and the person being paid last respects, was special and I had to find out why.
Going home, I found the obituary page and answer. Eddie Palmer. His picture confirmed everything I imagined about him.
At 37, his life, if not lengthy, was obviousy full. Mr Palmer, whom I never knew, made an impact upon me. I wish I could have known him.
If someone were to pause for just a second someday when passing my funeral service, I would be pleased.
