E.R. ?Sarge? Grey, Jr.
Enloe Ramon Grey, Jr., better known as ?Sarge? Grey, was born May 10, 1921, and died September 18, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Grey of Longview; daughter, Karen ?Pandy? Barg of Longview; sons, Allan ?Collie? Grey of Longview, Rob Grey of Longview, Jeff Grey of Oklahoma City, OK.; two granddaughters, Jennifer McCaskill of College Station, Tiffany Owen of North Pole, AK.; and three great grandchildren. Mr. Grey was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Timothy.
?Sarge? served with the U.S. Coast Guard pre WWII, with the U.S. NAVY in South Pacific during WWII, and with the U.S. Air Force until retirement in 1961.
He served as assistant to the Dean and ?Big Brother? to the student at LeTourneau College, after which he joined Missionary Tech Team, Longview, as representative.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, September 21, 2005 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Jimmy Lilly officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park, where Mr. Grey will receive full military detail from Barksdale Air Force Base, for his faithful and honorable service to his country. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Pm Tuesday evening, September 20, 2005 at the funeral home.
