Dr. Windell Watkins
Private family memorial services and cremation arrangements for Dr. Windell Watkins, 67, of Longview are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Monday, November 28, 2005 at his residence in Longview.
Dr. Watkins was born July 25, 1938 in Olney, TX, and had been a resident of Longview since 1964, moving from Austin. He received his Master?s and PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Texas in Austin and was a retired organic chemist with Texas Eastman Co. in Longview. He was an avid sports car racer.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Billy Watkins of Longview; children, Tracy Utz of Longview, Laurie Carpenter of Beaumont, Jill Hancock and Jennifer Smith of Orange, Sheri Pierce of Leaksville, MS, and Jaime Buckhannan of Longview; brother, Jerry Watkins of Aledo, TX; sister, Delia Anheiser of Sugarland, TX; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great grandsons.
