Windell was my Uncle. The Jolly Green Giant was what I remember calling him as a child. To me, as a child, he did seem like a Giant, yet so gentle and caring and always smiling. Now thinking back, as an adult, I realize that he never lost that Giant status. Today and always he remains a Giant - A Giant of a Father, Husband, Grandfather, Friend and to me a Giant of an Uncle. One of which I will forever hold fond memories of.##imported-begin##Christi Carrasco##imported-end##

My condolences to the family. Windell was always a good friend and mentor at Eastman. I wish I would have paid more attention to his advice.##imported-begin##Bob Allen##imported-end##
My dad spent a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with his daughters, grandchildren and his stepson. He ate, laughed and had a wonderful time. The past few months he talked about the wonderful people he worked with and the full life he lived. We had the opportunity to learn about his life and the people he that were so important to him ..Y.C., Edgar, Dick, Max, Sue, Bill, Horst, and many others that he loved so much. He so missed the 1st Tuesday and the friendship he felt with you all. Daddy was such a special person and I know we will all miss him so much. Words cannot express the loss his daughters feel and how much we will miss him.##imported-begin##Laurie Carpenter##imported-end##
Billy and family,
I am Windell's youngest cousin. My mother was Maretza Culwell, sister of Rupert and his other 5 brothers. Mother passed away in April of 2003 and I know she was very fond of Windell. I am very sorry to hear of Windell's passing and will keep you and your family in my prayers. Uncle Herrick the only brother left called this morning and told me. I have contacted Tommy and Danny Voyon's sons and let them know as well. Again, my sincere sympathy to you and your family. I know Windell will be missed dearly.
