So sorry to hear about Chic. We met at the U of Louisville and then went separate ways, Chic stayed in Louisville and I went to Texas in Houston for our dental training. We reunited when Chic contacted me and said he wanted to come to Texas and take the dental board. We helped Him get some ideas on how to take and pass the exam but he was so smart and talented he didn't need much help. I lost contact with Chic when I moved to San Diego 25 years ago but always had admired him and his dental abilities and the wonderful gentleman he was. He certainly will be missed. Please accept my deepest sympathy on Chic's passing. We met when he took the dental board in Houston and remained in touch professionally until I heard of his death. I was lucky enough to have him refer patients of his who had relocated in Houston. He was a master at his craft and a fine gentleman. We feel blessed to have know Dr. Bachtel, he was such a caring and wonderful person. He will be deeply missed . What a wonderful Dentist always enjoyed going to see him, even
if it meant drilling and filling.

I was one of Dr. Bachtel's first patients when he came to Longview. I was his patient until I left in 1986.He was the only dentist that ever made me smile.
