Ed was a major influence on my adult life. He was a friend and fraternity brother at Texas, he shared his wonder parents with us all, we practically lived together during graduate/law school, we even hung out in New York City when he was in the FBI. I last had contact in 1998 and he shared many personal experiences of his life. He was wonderful to me and I only wish I could have been there with him when he need me. My thoughts are with Ed's family at this time of loss. But smile and think of the good times, Ed would.

I just learned of Eddie's passing through my sister who still lives in Longview, My condolences to Eddie's family, friends, and loved ones. It was my pleasure to have attended Longview High School with him. Little did I dream that years later we would end up in New York City together both working for the FBI. Eddie was an excellent FBI Special Agent, but more important, he was a friend and one of the nicest and most genuine people on earth. Eddie's famous smile is forever etched in my memories of him, from high school, to the University of Texas, the Sigma Chi fraternity, his great years in law school, the FBI and afterward. To the family of Mr. Ed.

I came to know Ed thru work. I along with Ed worked in the Beer business. Thru this business I came to know a wonderful man. He even at one time carried a picture of me with him when I did a United Ways thing thru our work and he kidded me by saying he wanted me to sign it. I will miss Ed for the rest of my life until I meet him in heaven. Thank you for letting me to get to know him. I am so sorry that I found out about his passing late and was unable to attend his funeral, but at RCIA tonight, I heard it was a wonderful funeral. May God bless you all in this time of need.

Mary and Doyle,
Eddie impacted my life in so many ways and brought so much joy to everyone's life. He will be greatly missed by all. How lucky he was to have such great parents. I love you both and yall are in my thoughts and prayers. Love you too Eddie!

I'm so sorry to hear about Eddie....
Though I've been away from my Texas roots these many years, I still fondly remember Eddie from high school, college & fraternity.
We always had great times together, and he was a loyal friend. My sincerest sympathies to his family and friends, especially his Mom & Dad.
