Dorothy Trower's Obituary
Funeral services for Dorothy Trower, 87, of Longview, will be at noon Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Longview with Dr. Larry Calvin officiating. Burial will be in Rusk County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, starting at 11:00 a.m. before the service. Mrs. Trower died Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at a local hospital.
She was born December 13, 1926, in Walker, Missouri. She moved to Henderson, Texas in 1961 and retired from Citizens National Bank of Henderson in 1991. She has lived in the Longview area since 2003 and was a member of the Hallsville First Methodist Church. She loved to spend time with her family and never missed sending a greeting card for every special event. Her hobbies included baking, gardening, and quilting.
Mrs. Trower was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Ada Clevenger; her husband, Charles “Chuck” Trower; a brother, Kenneth Clevenger and sister, Maxine Berry.
She is survived by daughters, Karen Phillips and husband, James, of Longview, and Cheryl McKey and husband, Roy, of Hallsville; grandchildren Kaylynn Bailey and husband, Chuck, of Hallsville, Kelly Ciborowski of Frisco, Texas, Kimberly McGarvey and husband, Doug, of Hallsville, Ryan McKey and wife, Cindy, of Frisco, Texas, Chris Phillips and wife, Lisa, of Keller, Texas, and Leslie Drake of Hallsville; 18 great grandchildren; brother Melvin Clevenger of Ottawa, Kansas, and sister Geneva Ray of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; sister-in-laws Daisy Ritchie of Clinton, Missouri and Betty Trower of Nevada, Missouri; and a number of nieces and nephews.
