As a child, I thought that she was a very beautiful woman and that thought remained with me the rest of my life. She was a farmer's wife and wore very high heels all day long as she worked hard in the house. Strong....she could beat egg whites into stiff peaks faster than an electric mixer. Speaking of food, she could cook wonderful meals, one of her special desserts was cheesecake. It was always a special treat to get to stay with Aunt Dorothy.
Dorothy's most impressive quality was her smile and pleasant disposition toward everyone. Just being around her was enough to feel Christ's love here on earth. She did honor to the name Christian.

Sorry to hear about your Mom. But so happy she is with the Lord and her mind is whole again! She was such a sweet and special lady. We always loved being around her, even though it was not very often. But our thoughts are with you. Lynn and Joyce Saathoff
