Dorothy Harvey's Obituary
Funeral Services for Dorothy Harvey, 92, of Longview, will be 10 AM Friday in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Reverend Phil Fenton officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday 6 to 8 PM at Rader Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harvey went to be with her Lord Monday evening at a local nursing home.
She was born November 4, 1911 to the late Alford and Clara Kline in Mooringsport, La. and a resident of Longview since 1931. Mrs. Harvey worked 40 years as a bookkeeper for McWilliams Furniture and with her husband Bill, opened Harvey?s Candy and Gift Shop in downtown Longview in 1958. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Harvey was preceded in death by her husband: Bill, parents, brother: Charles W. Kline and sisters: Nancy Plato and Allean Stidham. She is survived by a brother: Al A. Kline, Jr and wife Rose of San Antonio; sister: Margaret West of Longview; Nephews: Tom, Jim and Richard Plato of Houston, Bobby McLennan of Pasadena; Nieces: Carol West of Longview, DiAnne Hakala of Uvalde, Beth Fain of San Antonio and Alice Ward of Hallsville, a number of great and great great nieces and nephews.
Pall bearers will be Larry Ward, Don Hakala, Richard Fain, Michael Ward, Tom Hakala and Ryan Fain.
Memorial contributions may be made to the 1st Lutheran Church Building Fund or Hallsville 1st United Methodist.
