Doris Mae Bradley's Obituary
Doris Mae Bradley age 82 of Longview passed away suddenly September 2, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston. She was born in Nashville, Arkansas to George and Era Osborn.
In 1948 Doris married the love of her life, Byron Bradley, who passed away in 2012. They met in Nashville, Arkansas, and moved to Longview in the 1950's.
Family and friends were Doris's passion and delight. She enjoyed cooking and having friends and family over for food and fellowship. She was known by all for her unconditional love. Doris also enjoyed spending time with her Sunday school class from Macedonia Baptist Church.
Doris is survived by her daughter Barbara Nelms and her husband Dr. Ron Nelms, 3 granddaughters, Kristie Snell, Lorie Faulk, Johanna Schroeder and their families. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Garrett, Hayden, Haylee, Natalie and Chase, "who is on the way". Also she is survived by 2 sisters, Bonnie Godsey and Sue Watson and numerous nieces, nephews, and many extended family members she adopted along the way.
Along with her husband in heaven, Doris will be joining her two sons, Warren Wayne Bradley who passed away in 2011 and baby Michael who passed away in 1959.
Funeral services will be noon today at Macedonia Baptist Church in Longview with internment to follow at Memory Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
