If my recollections are anywhere near correct, I have known the Peters family for almost 60 years. For at least thirty of those years, Don Peters was my boss.We always got along so well because Don had such high standards and he always wanted what was best for the students and teachers in the schools. Our world is a poorer place tonight because of his passing, but I believe that he is now receiving great rewards in heaven. I am so sorry that I cannot be there to pay my respects in person. I have a rather severe eye problem which prevents my driving after dark, and I would have to be back here Thursday evening because of some commitments that I have here in Rockdale. Know that I remember and love each of you - Rita, Ron, Alicia and Angela. There is a Rudyard Kipling poem which I cannot remember at this time, but I will find it and send it to you. It speaks of a man who never had to bow or doff his hat to anyone but could always stand on his own merits. That is exactly the way I feel about Don Peters, and I think that he knew it!##imported-begin##Lucile Estell##imported-end##
