Donald Childress' Obituary
Donald Eugene “Bud” Childress our beloved Taw-Taw, Bud would’ve been 85 on June 19th. He went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully while at home.
Bud was born in Lamesa, TX to William Soloman Childress and Lille Pearl Newsom Childress. He was raised in Sand Hill, TX as a God fearing Baptist.
Bud was a proud Army Vet of the Korean War. He worked for Leland Equipment Co. which later became Dealers Truck where he retired after 50 years of service. Bud is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Bonner Childress, his daughter Betty Childress Strong and his son David Childress. He leaves behind his loving daughter Terrie McDonald, son-in-laws Tim McDonald, Wayman Strong and daughter-in-law Kimberly Walker Childress. Among other loved ones; seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, his special nephew Kenneth Loyd, and number of nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved dogs.
