To the Rutlands:
I was shocked to see the paper this morning and learn of Dot's passing. As I thought back to 30 years ago, I remember my first high school job and working with Dot. She was a wonderful co-worker and friend; she always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude about any "life circumstance". She taught me a lot about life. I remember buying my first and second Kirby Vacuumn cleaners from your dad,Kirby's are all I have ever owned by the way. I remember your mom sending me over to your Grandfather Ryan's repair shop when my lawn mower was broken. I remember lots of funny stories about Kelly. I remember when Dot made Cindy a dress for the Athletic Banquet. I remember that Dot Rutland was a true friend. I remember a lot of neat and fun things about Dot Rutland - but most of all I remember how very much she loved her family - each and everyone of you! While Dot is no longer here, the lives that she touched and the memories that she left behind will be with us forever.
I am so glad that she touched mine.##imported-begin##Susan Berry##imported-end##
