Bonnie Bogue
My granddaughter graduated last night, May 18th, from Longview High School and I began a journey of remembering her school days. The one teacher who was the most caring and loving was Dinah Morgan, her third grade teacher at Johnston Elementary. Mrs. Morgan truly loved her students and was dedicated to providing a classroom environment that promoted learning. At a time when the TAKS test was so very important, she structured her class in such a way that all students were successful. My granddaughter learned more from Mrs. Morgan than any other elementary teacher, but it was because she felt safe and nurtured in Mrs Morgan's classroom. My granddaughter was not the smartest in the class, but she felt smart and always tried her best. She would quote what Mrs. Morgan said to us frequently. I just wanted the family to know that although she is no longer with us, she is not forgotten. She made a difference in the lives of her students and in the lives of the students' families. Thank you Dinah Morgan for a wonderful third grade year for Mackenzie Caroline Bogue, Class of 2018.
