Memorial services for Derek John Vale 66, of Gilmer will be held at Two O?clock PM Tuesday July 30, 2002 at the Woodland Christian Church with the Reverend?s Paul and Lisa Kraus officiating. Mr. Vale died Saturday July 27, 2002 in Gilmer.
He was born June 7, 1036 in Bristol, England to Ernest and Edith Vale. He owned the Sterling Pattern Company and was a member of the Woodland Christian Church. He was also an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda of Gilmer; three sons and daughters-in-law, Nigel and Brenda Vale of Longview; Simon and Lori Vale of Longview; Stephen and Marie Vale of Longview; six grand-children, Samantha, Mary, Lani, Trevor, Mitchell and Suzanna; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Iris Vale of Bristol, England, and several nieces and nephews.
