I was fortunate to have met Dennis and Shirley in June of 1998. As a co-worker we shared past experiences, plans and hopes for the future, views of life, family, politics, current events... thoughts and opinions on just about any topic imaginable... we shared life. I knew Dennis for a brief period of time, but that short time will remain with me the rest of my days. I looked up to Dennis and saw the kind of person I would like to someday become. He talked of family often, he shared both good times and the not so good times...but through it all he cared deeply for all. To Robby and Britney...he spoke of you often with great pride and joy. To Shirley...Dennis talked of you often with love and concern. The kind of concern that can only come from a loving husband. I can tell you all were often on his mind and heart.
I believe one of the greatest honors we can bestowe upon lost loved one's is to recognize the breavity of life and remember to cherish every waking moment. Appreciate what and who we have, for you never know what tommorrow will bring. I was driving by Satterwhite Log Homes a couple of weeks back and Carla my wife asked me if I wanted to stop and visit Dennis and show off our new grandson. I told her I didn't think we had time, we'll do it later. I was wrong.
To all the family, you are in our prayers.
To Dennis, Thanks for all the fond memories, I will look back often and remember you always.
Till we meet again,
Your friend John.##imported-begin##John Hill##imported-end##
