David Walker's Obituary
David Michael Walker was born December 22, 1955, in Bay City, Texas and entered Heavenly rest on February 18, 2024 at his home in Lonview, Texas.
David is survived by Joan Walker his wife of 25 years, his sisters Alicia (Larry) Bishop and Melanie (John) Truesdell, nieces Lindsey (Cayde) Ellender and Laura (Brian) Lowes, his nephews Logan Bishop and Marshall McCammon, as well as his great nieces Charlotte and Lillian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alberta and Ernest Walker, and Tiffany Salmans.
David attended Longview schools and was a member of the 1974 graduating class of Pine Tree High School. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. He also attended Texas A&M University.
David was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was employed by Eastman Chemical for 37 years and was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to the Highway 80 Rescue Mission or East Texas Food Bank.
Memorial services for David will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church of Longview on Thursday, February 22 at 10:30 am. A private entombment will take place at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas at a later date.
