David was a man after God's heart. He was activ.e in his church Macedonia Baptist, Longview, tx. He sang with the choir and was a member of the Safety team. He and his wife Joan had miniature Schnauzer dogs. They did some camping in their RV tcamper. He was a kind and compassionate man who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed one. He had a sense of humor that would have everyone laughing hysterically at times. He wasn't afraid to pray or cry with us when it was needed. It seems like a short time ago that David and I were in school at Pine Tree. We were fortunate to be included in a group who were together from first grade to Senior graduation in 1974. David was such a true Christian friend who I respected very much. He was a good photographer, too! He took most of the candid pictures in our senior yearbook. He signed my annual with “Friends in Christ” He will always be remembered and loved by his classmates from Pine Tree School.
My heart goes out to his family with continued prayers for comfort and peace now and as time goes by. Thank you for sharing the video - a precious tribute to his life.
