Dear Jean and family,
We share your joy and sadness as we heard of David's homegoing. David played a part in caring for our family when I lost both my parents. David visited them faithfully and was such a good neighbor in Hampton Court as were you and your family to us.
What a rejoicing there must be in Heaven as the angels congratulate him on a job commended by our Lord as "well done".
What a great example he is to all of us as we seek to honor God in our later years. He really set the bar high as a faithful servant of God.
I shouldn't forget that David was also the Dean at LeTourneau University when I was there and I grew to greatly admire his kindness and fairness then too.
