David Alan Cavazos' Obituary
Funeral services for David Alan Cavazos, 44, of Henderson, will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, February 8, 2008, at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Greg Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Rusk County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mr. Cavazos died Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at his residence.
He was born November 30, 1963, in Texas City, Texas and had been a longtime resident of Henderson. He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church where he also served as a recreation assistant in the Family Life Center. He also was a para-professional for the Henderson Independent School District.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents; Archie and Mary Auld of Homer, LA., and Alfredo and Flora Cavazos of San Antonio, TX.
Surviving is his wife, Diane Cavazos of Henderson; parents, Mario and Charlotte Cavazos of Henderson; sister, Cathy Bryan and husband Jim May of Garland; stepchildren, Jessica Moore and Samantha Moore, both of Henderson; nieces and nephews, Rachael Bryan, Scott Bryan, and Molly Bryan, all of Garland; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In leiu of flowers, memorials mat be made to the First Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
