I'm at a loss for words. Darren and I graduated together in 84 from Pine Tree, but I had lost touch with him. I remember playing together in the neighborhood as boys and coming to his birthday party. How devastated I was to learn of your great loss this past week. I too have an only son, 40 years of age, so I can imagine the loss you are feeling.

It has been a long time - but I worked at Pine Tree High School when Daren was a student. You and I became friends and Darren was very special to me. I have lost touch with you over the years - you moved from Wedgewood and I left Pine Tree and came to work at Sabine ISD. Over the years, I have thought about you and wondered what was going on in your lives. Please know that in all my years of school business, your family will hold a special place in my heart.
