Daniel B. Blocker's Obituary
Daniel B Blocker was born February 3, 1943, to Daniel Roy and Helen Blocker. He departed this earth June 28, 2025.
Dan grew up in Alvin, Texas where he loved to hunt, fish, and play golf. He began his oilfield career in East Texas with Amoco Production Company. Eventually, Dan started his own business, Dan Blocker Petroleum Consultants, which he presided over for forty years. He provided opportunities for many people along the way. His kindness, compassion, and loyalty affected all who knew him. He truly made a difference in the lives of those who worked for him.
Dan loved his family. He was married to his wife, Pat, for 63 years. They met on the golf course in Alvin, Texas and shared a love for hunting, fishing, and the Houston Astros. His grandchildren were a joy to him, and he rarely missed a game, concert, or other competition.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Helen Blocker, His sister, Lila Berner, his son, Scott, and granddaughter, Danylle.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Pat, Sisters, Mona and Barbara, daughter Cathy, son Dale, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He will be missed by all of us.
A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday July 18th at Pinecrest Country Club in Longview, TX. Seating is limited so please RSVP by text to 903-738-5711 with name and number attending.
