Funeral services for Kathryn Benton, 95, of Plano, formerly of Longview will be 4 PM Saturday at the Ford Chapel of First Baptist Church with her son-in-law, Jason Williams officiating. Family visitation will begin at 3 PM before Read Obituary
Billy and I both offer our condolences to the entire Benton family in the death of your beautiful Mother. Your parents certainly left footsteps in the city of Longview which will never be forgotten. Your sweet Mother and Daddy made me feel so special when they talked of my parents. Your Dad was so special to all of us at Texas Bank and Trust, with his sweet and caring nature. We offer our prayers as you go through this loss of such a beautiful Mother.

I was so saddened to read of your mother's passing. Your parents and mine shared many happy times over the years, especially Dad and your father at their favorite "fishing holes". I have many good childhood memories with your family both in town and at the lake. They were always so willing to haul us to school activities and always with bright smiles. Dear Benton Family,
Delbert, I remember when the boys were little and you and your parents sat behind us in church every Sunday. They boys wiggled all the time, poked each other and sometimes disturbed everyone in the immediate area. But you and your parents were so kind and never said a word about it.
I also had the great honor of teaching your mom in Sunday school. She was always such a sweet person and never had anything negative to say She was an encourager.
Two days ago I had the strongest thoughts about her and D. A. and the next day, yesterday, her obituary was in the paper. I am grieving with all of you today and so sad that I am not able to attend the service. I will be thinking of you during that time today from Houston. May God bless all of you.

Dear Vickie, Delbert, Tammy, Tiffany, Kyle, and families,
I am so sorry to learn of Mrs. Benton's passing. She was one of the sweetest ladies I've ever known. A true Southern Belle. He and Mr, D. A. were so special to me. When I went to work at LB&T, Mr. Benton was one of the first board members I met. I told him that his dad walked me across the crosswalk on High Street, when I was riding my bike to Ware School. He would give the children red pencils with Ware Elementary, printed on them.
Tammy, Tiffany, and Kyle, I was the person, at the bank, who wrote you a letter on your birthdays, every year. This was done per your grandparents' request.
There are so many wonderful memories, Prayers and love to all.
