Curtis was an angel walking on this earth with a pocket full of candy! I will never forget his precious smile. That smile I know for sure melted my heart countless times. I will never forget how much he loved to make me laugh. He would joke with me that he saw my boyfriend with some other girl, knowing I didn’t like to hear it. In the same sentence he said “You get married this weekend?”I know when that day comes he will be there grinning ear to ear as he says “it’s about time!” I remember standing in Peter’s car dealership one night as he opened his wallet and showed me a picture of Nell and him when they were younger. He was one handsome man! I knew then he had a heart of gold. I am so thankful that to have the rewarding opportunity to have known him. He made countless of everlasting impressions on my life and many others. I am so sorry for the entire family for the loss of such a great man! I wait for the day to hug his neck again. To the family,
Curtis was the hardest working man I have ever had the pleasure to know. He took great pride in the field house at Spring Hill and always had a smile on his face. I miss our conversations and him asking me if I had his desk ready for him to move to an "easy job". Most of all, his love for students was evident every single day. We only knew Curtis for a short time, but found him to be a kind and friendly man, with a big smile and a bigger heart. If it weren't for he and Nell, we'd have spent many holiday's by ourselve's. Gunk-Gunk,
You were such an amazing man. Your sweet smile and loving heart will be remembered by so many. You taught me what to look for in a husband by the wonderful way you have always loved Nana through the years. You taught me how to work hard and to enjoy the little things in life. Nell I am so sorry to hear about this and wish I could be there in support. I want to thank you for yours and his hospitality when I was young and lost. Your husband taught me a lot in the short times we spent working those nights together cleaning. There are so many noble things I could say about him; however, I will be momentary in my comments.

He bared a compassion of a father figure to me and never did pass judgment to anyone he met including me. He offered an opportunity to prove myself when others would not.
