Dear Bryan, Shelley, & all the precious loved ones of Cheryl,
We want you to know that we are praying for all of you, knowing that even though we know Cheryl is in a much better place with her Jesus, it still hurts to know that she's gone from this old world. The only comfort is knowing she's safe at home at last no more sickness, no more pain and we will see her again one of these days. Hold tight to the precious memories - I didn't know Cheryl personally, but it sounds like she was a sweet, courageous lady, with a special love for her family. To all that are left to morn the loss of a precious soul. I know the Strait Family from yrs. ago at Oak Grove Assembly. I have always admired this family for their stand for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the Glory. I know it is hard to lose a loved one, we just get up in the morning and put one foot in front of the other and keep going. My memories of Cheryl are prior to her having children and grandchildren, but I can tell you that she was just as wonderful as a young girl as she obviously was as a woman. We were great friends and had great times together at Oak Grove AG, and I regret that we later moved in different directions. My prayers are with you, Cheryl's family.

To Cheryl:
Although I was not in direct contact with you Cheryl on a daily basis, we did almost always share a phone call or e-mail. Working with you these past 12 years has truly been a joy and I will remember all the times we had both good and bad. We may not have always agreed on things but we both did share a common goal, that to get things done to the best of our ability and do it for the good of LeTourneau. I will miss the cute e-mails that brightened up my days when I may not have been all too happy. We shared laughs and we shared tears, but at the end of the day we were in my eyes at least friends. When I met Cheryl over 35 years ago little did I know how important she would become in my life. We shared heartache and happiness, we both could talk about anything and knew the other one would not judge our life. We worked, played, laughed and cried together. Even when we moved miles away we knew we could pick up the phone and things would look better when we hung up. I will miss hearing her say "Hey Girl, how are things in your world"? I'm very sad that she is no longer here, but am also glad she is no longer suffering. I know heaven is a better place because she has gone home.
