Our memories of Charley are from our days together in college at SFA in Nacogdoches. Charley was a great friend and a wonderful person. We remember Charley as a very easy going and thoughtful person that was a friend to everybody. I'm sure that these were the same qualities he had as a husband and father. Our prayers will be with Connie, Lindsay and Blake as they move forward with their lives. I'm sure that Charley will always be watching with pride.##imported-begin##Mickey & Nancy Austin##imported-end##
Connie, Blake and Lyndsey;
We all want you to know how deeply sad we are for you during this time of loss. We know that you will miss him but are happy for Charley to be in a better place than he was for the last few days. We will keep you in our prayers over the next few weeks and months and know that God is our strength in time of need.##imported-begin##Steve, Jean, Joel and Jennifer Coffman##imported-end##
Charley has done work for me several times. Helped me so much. Such a very nice man to work with. So kind and accomidating to an old woman. I know he will be missed so much by all who knew him. You will be in my prayers. I am so sorry. Carole Powell##imported-begin##Carole Powell##imported-end##
Mr. and Mrs. Best and Family, please accept my condolences. I went to MHS with Charley and remember him as one of the nicest there. After returning to Marshall, I had contact with him through the store. He was extremely helpful, friendly and kind. I know this is a great loss for you all and want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.##imported-begin##Sibyl King##imported-end##
The Best Family - I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you.
Blake - I'm terribly sorry that I couldn't be at the service for you. I wish I could have. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you or your family. Love you.##imported-begin##Ashley Herrington##imported-end##
"A scene, an aroma, a feeling can rekindle memories of your loved one-and with the memories-- the pain and tears may return. In time, these memories will become a source of joy. But until then -- the Lord will comfort you in each moment of sadness."
My deepest sympathy to you, the family. Charley was one of my favorite students in Typing. Through the years I was alway delighted when he would share some of those memories with me along with what his life had encountered. I felt honored when he shared the condition of his illness with me. He was also my favorite salesman in the Marshall store. That relationship began when he was in the building across from Lewis Funeral Home. I will always cherish those fond memories of Charley.
May God comfort and keep you in His care is my prayer.

Connie and Mr. & Mrs. Best,
We are so sorry to hear of Charlie's death. He was always full of fun in high school and he was a good business man when we bought carpet. I know that he loved all of you very much.
Our prayers are with you now and in the days ahead.

Ruby and Lewis, we are so sorry for your loss. Charlie was so nice to us when we put down our new floor. He was just like his parents, always happy and wanting to help someone. We will be praying for all of you.##imported-begin##Tim & Eva Holt##imported-end##
Charley was a friend and business associate for many years. I have dealt with few people who possess the honesty and integrity that Charley had. He will be greatly missed by many throughout the Ark-La-Tex. May God give you comfort and peace knowing that he is at home with our Lord.##imported-begin##Bill Starret##imported-end##
