I have many fond memories of Charlie when we all lived on Peachtree Street in Ponca: His parakeet sitting on the temple piece of his glasses that I think he called Buzzard; his black cat named Minnie Boots or it could have been Middy Boots, as a kid in the sixties those words sounded the same to me; Charlie's sheer enjoyment of The Three Stooges, and his "yuk, yuk, yuk"!; sledding down the street in the winter snow with Willis and my dad, Raymond Morgan, pulling and slinging the sleds to see how far they would go.
Charlie being a DJ; moving to Houston and going to The Green Door BBQ Restuarant with him and his family. Best of all was the time he invited me to a progressive supper with his church youth group in the Houston area and someone asked how long we had been dating, and he said "all of our lives", which was true. We have been friends since we were toddlers and remained friends even after I was married and had children. Charlie exemplified what a true friend really is. I grieve with you and your families, but look forward to seeing him again when we meet him on the other side, in Heaven.##imported-begin##Tomyla Morgan Kohlenberg##imported-end##
