Charles Porter Bran don's Obituary
Funeral services for Charles Porter Brandon, 97, of Longview, will be 2 PM Monday at Trinity Episcopal Church with Reverend Milton Black officiating. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Park Mausoleum under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
A native of Elgin, Indian Territory, Oklahoma, he was born June 22, 1906 and moved to Longview in the early 1950?s. Porter was a people person, a gentleman and a very positive person. He was very active in Trinity Episcopal Church, was a mason and Rotarian. He retired as district manager for Cooper Tire in 1972.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Coffin and Mrs. Francis Ice.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years: Jeri of Longview, several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be: Howard Coffin, Dale Coffin, David Martin, Boyd Hamilton, Jerry Hamilton and Leo Wall. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bob Martin, Curtis DeMoss and Neal Coffin.
