Charles Findley Kuykendall's Obituary
C. F. Kuykendall was born in Tatum, Texas on March 6, 1921 and passed away on Tuesday June 4, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ruth Soard Kuykendall. Mr. "Kirk" as he was affectionately known, might have been best known as Principal of Pine Tree High School from 1956 – 1968. He was also the Assistant Superintendent at Pine Tree from 1968 until -- 1980. Charles was an active member of Lions International and had 50 years perfect attendance. Mr. Kuykendall served on the board of East Texas Professional Credit Union from 1956 and just recently retired making him the longest serving board member of a Credit Union in the state of Texas. He is survived by his daughter Melinda Kuykendall and granddaughter Katie Kuykendall as well as many nephews and great nephews and nieces. He is also survived by a multitude of friends. Services for Mr. Kuykendall will be held on Saturday June 8, 2013 at First Christian Church of Longview. There will be a visitation held the night before on Friday, June 7 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview between 6 and 8 p.m.
